FRPG's Bachelor student Simon Grimm won our faculty's exceptional Bachelor Thesis Award for year 2024-25 at the University of Stuttgart.
Simon's work was on "Machine Optimized Parametric Design, Development and Flight Evaluation of a Stable Flying Wing UAV Glider". In only four months of work, he was able to go from project
conceptualization to real UAV development and testing in the field. Simon's work also expands our WildCap's fleet to a new vehicle type with significantly increased endurance.
Our paper “A Multi-Simulation Approach with Model Predictive Control for Anafi Drones” [1] was selected as one of the Top 3 Finalists for the Best Paper Award at the European Conference on Mobile
Robotics (ECMR 2025)
